Holding pollies accountable
I think it is time to change our language in referencing "the government"
The gov'mint is made up of individual people who make the decisions affecting us, the citizens of Australia. I think we need to be naming these individual pollies. So instead of reporting, (for example) "the gum'mint" has passed a decree criminalising Indian Australians from returning home; perhaps it would benefit us to say," Mr/Ms Blow Hard / Hot Air attended the latest cabinet meeting and he/she/they made this decision. It's easy to hide behind a title, less so if a person is named.
Thoughts anyone? Action anyone?
